Xiaomi’s HyperOS 3 update, based on Android 16, is currently rolling out globally starting from October 2025. It introduces several key improvements such as a redesigned user interface, AI-powered features, performance upgrades including faster app launches (21% faster), better energy efficiency (10% improvement), smoother animations, and a new feature called “Xiaomi Super Island,” which is similar to Apple’s Dynamic Island but with additional flexibility and multitasking capabilities.
The rollout began with flagship models like the Xiaomi 15T series and Redmi Note 14 lineup, followed by expansions to many Redmi, POCO, tablets, smart TVs, and wearables. The update also brings fresh icons, dynamic AI-generated wallpapers, cinematic lock screens, advanced AI assistant improvements, and enhanced cross-device synchronization within the Xiaomi ecosystem.
The update is fairly large (around 6.7 to 7.6GB depending on the model) and is being delivered in phases, with more Xiaomi devices, including mid-range and older flagships, expected to receive it through early 2026. It offers a smarter, smoother, and more integrated user experience with a significant boost in performance and device unification on Xiaomi’s platform
